New State Voting Laws: Barriers to the Ballot?

Testimony to Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Human Rights

On September 8, the Law Center submitted this written testimony for a hearing in the Senate Judiciary Committee, Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Human Rights. The hearing addressed the impact of new state voter laws on the ability of low income people to both register to vote and cast ballots. The Law Center's statement expressed a concern that these new laws will disproportionately impact homeless persons.
