Protecting Tenants at Foreclosure Act

The Law Center was instrumental in helping pass the Protecting Tenants at Foreclosure Act (PTFA) in May 2009. The law provides important new federal legal protections for tenants renting housing in properties that are the subject of foreclosure actions. This fact sheet explains those protections and calls for submissions of PTFA violations so the Law Center can help ensure compliance with the act.
