The Impact on Children, Schools Continues

Law Center Founder and Executive Director Maria Foscarinis' new piece explores the impact of the recession on children, with 1.6 million homeless and countless more at risk.

In the near-term, this has severe consequences for their physical and mental health.  Moreover, because homeless children are often illegally removed from school, their future ability to succeed in a competitive job market and break the cycle of poverty is irreparably damaged.
