Cara Vasquez, an associate with DLA Piper, wrote a blog
post about her experience working with the Law Center and its Project LEARN. She noted that advocating for homeless children's right to a stable education "opened her eyes" to the variety of situations in which families can find themselves homeless, and she described the Law Center as a "tremendous resource."

In partnership with LEAP firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, LLP, the Law Center brought justice to two religious organizations in Dallas, TX who were sharing food with homeless people in public, outdoor spaces. The federal court's ruling that the food ordinance restricting the ministries' behavior violated their right to exercise religion was featured in the Dallas
Morning News.
The Law Center's 2012 pro bono successes were resourced
by loansafe.org. Loansafe reported our record-breaking statistics, including working with 21 legal firms on 52 legal matters, accumulating 13,081 hours of professional services valuing $6,131,318.
